# Free vs. PRO: Strautomator Plans Compared
> Compare what's included in Strautomator's Free and PRO plans, understand the feature limits, and learn how to subscribe via Paddle or GitHub Sponsors.
Strautomator is free to use for everyday automation needs. If you want to push further — more automations, longer history, AI-generated content, device integrations, and advanced customization — PRO removes all the limits. This page explains exactly what each plan includes and how to upgrade.
## Plan comparison
The Free plan gives you everything you need to get started with Strava automation at no cost.
**Automations**
* Up to **3 automations** running automatically on every new activity
* All condition types and action types available

**GearWear**
* Up to **2 GearWear configurations** to track component mileage and hours
* Email alerts when components reach your replacement threshold

## How to subscribe
PRO is available through two payment methods. Choose the one that suits you best.
Pay by card via **Paddle**, Strautomator's primary payment provider. Two options are available:
* **Yearly subscription** — renews automatically once a year. Cancel any time from the billing page.
* **Lifetime payment** — a single one-time payment that covers your PRO account permanently, with no future charges.
Go to **Billing** inside your Strautomator account and click the Lifetime or Yearly button to check out.
Support Strautomator with a **monthly GitHub sponsorship** of \$1.00 or more. Your account is upgraded to PRO automatically after your first sponsorship payment processes.

The **lifetime plan** is the best value if you plan to use Strautomator for more than a year or two. You pay once and never see another charge — no matter how many features are added in the future.
## Managing your subscription
Once you're subscribed, go to **Billing** in the Strautomator navigation to view your subscription status, payment history, and next renewal date. Paddle subscribers can manage or cancel their subscription directly from that page. GitHub Sponsors can cancel by updating their sponsorship on GitHub.
