You can subscribe through two platforms — Paddle (credit card) or GitHub Sponsors (monthly) — and manage everything from the Billing page inside your account.

Subscription Options

Paddle — Yearly

Pay once per year by credit or debit card via Paddle’s secure checkout. Your subscription renews automatically each year. You can update your payment method or cancel at any time through the Paddle customer portal.

Paddle — Lifetime

A single one-time payment grants you PRO access forever — no renewals, no future charges. This is the most cost-effective option if you plan to use Strautomator long-term.

GitHub Sponsors — Monthly

Sponsor the Strautomator project on GitHub with a monthly contribution. PRO access is activated automatically when your sponsorship is recognised. Manage or cancel directly in your GitHub Sponsors settings.

Free Plan

No payment required. Includes up to 3 automations, 2 GearWear configs, 30-day history, and personal records for rides and runs. Upgrade at any time to remove all limits.
The Paddle Lifetime plan is the best value if you plan to use Strautomator for more than a year or two. Pay once and never think about renewals again.

How to Subscribe

Go to the Billing page

Log in to Strautomator and navigate to Account → Billing.

Choose your plan

Review the available plans — Paddle Yearly, Paddle Lifetime, or GitHub Sponsors Monthly — and click Subscribe (or Sponsor on GitHub) next to your preferred option.

Complete checkout

  • Paddle: You are redirected to Paddle’s secure checkout page. Enter your payment details and confirm the purchase. You are returned to Strautomator once the transaction is complete.
  • GitHub Sponsors: You are taken to the Strautomator GitHub Sponsors page. Select the PRO tier, complete the sponsorship, and return to Strautomator. PRO access activates within a few minutes once GitHub confirms the sponsorship.

Confirm PRO is active

After subscribing, the Billing page updates to show your subscription source, plan type, next payment date (for recurring plans), and Active status. PRO features are available immediately.

Viewing Your Subscription Status

The Billing page shows a summary of your current subscription at a glance:

Managing a Paddle Subscription

Open the Paddle portal

On the Billing page, click Manage Subscription. This opens the Paddle customer portal in a new tab.

Update payment method

In the Paddle portal, select Payment Method to add a new card or remove an existing one.

View invoices

All past invoices are listed in the Paddle portal. Click any invoice to download a PDF receipt.

Cancelling Your Subscription

Go to Account → Billing

Click Cancel Subscription on the Billing page.

Select a reason

Choose the reason that best describes why you are cancelling (this helps improve the service).

Confirm cancellation

Confirm your decision. Your PRO access continues until the end of your current billing period — you are not charged again after that date.
Cancelling does not delete your account or any of your automations. All your settings are preserved so you can reactivate PRO at any time and pick up exactly where you left off.

Migrating from PayPal

If you had an older Strautomator subscription via PayPal, you can migrate it to Paddle:

Go to Account → Billing

Look for the Migrate from PayPal option on the Billing page.

Follow the migration guide

The on-screen guide walks you through cancelling your PayPal subscription and setting up a new Paddle subscription. Your PRO access is not interrupted during the migration.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled case by case. Contact Strautomator support with your account ID and the details of your purchase, and the team will assist you. Lifetime purchases in particular are reviewed individually before a refund decision is made.
