Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent privacy laws, you have the right to receive a copy of all personal data that Strautomator holds about you. The data export feature lets you download everything in a structured, machine-readable format at any time, at no cost, directly from your account page.

What Is Included in the Export

The downloaded archive contains all data that Strautomator stores under your account:

Automations (Recipes)

Every automation you have created, including conditions, actions, names, and enable/disable status.

GearWear Configurations

All your GearWear component definitions, distance and time thresholds, and current component totals.

Account Preferences

All settings from your Account → Settings page: language, units, privacy preferences, weather provider, and more.

Automation History

The log of automations that have run against your activities, within your plan’s history retention window.

Personal Records

Your tracked personal records for each supported sport and record type.

Calendar Settings

Your Strautomator calendar configuration and any custom calendar preferences (PRO).
The export covers Strautomator data only. It does not include your Strava activities, routes, segments, or any other data that Strava holds. To export your Strava data, visit Strava → Settings → My Account → Download or Delete Your Account.

How to Export Your Data

1

Open your Account page

Log in to Strautomator and click your profile picture or name in the top navigation to go to your Account page.
2

Locate the Download My Data option

Scroll to the bottom of the Account page and click Download My Data.
3

Confirm the request

A confirmation dialog appears. Review the information and click Confirm to proceed. Strautomator begins generating your archive immediately.
4

Download the archive

Once the archive is ready, a download link appears on the page. Click the link to save the file to your device. The archive is provided as a JSON file (or a ZIP containing JSON files) that you can open with any text editor or JSON viewer.

About the Export Format

The archive uses JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) — a plain-text, structured format that is both human-readable and easy to import into other tools. Each data category (automations, GearWear, preferences, history, records) is stored in its own clearly labelled section or file within the archive.
You can use any JSON viewer (such as jsonviewer.stack.hu) or a code editor like VS Code to browse the contents.

GDPR and Your Rights

Strautomator is committed to transparency about the data it holds. The data export feature fulfils your right of access and right to data portability under the GDPR. If you have questions about how your data is processed, or wish to request erasure, refer to the Close Account guide or contact Strautomator support.
Download a copy of your data before closing your account — once the account is deleted, all data is permanently erased and cannot be recovered.
