Profile
The Profile section displays the information Strautomator holds about your account and lets you update key details.Display Name
Display Name
Your display name is pulled from Strava when you first connect. You can change it here at any time — it appears in shared automations and in the Strautomator interface. The name change does not affect your Strava profile.

Strava Profile Link

Measurement Units
Measurement Units
Choose between Metric (kilometres, kilograms) and Imperial (miles, pounds). This setting controls how distances and weights are displayed throughout the app and how dynamic tags format values in your activity descriptions.
Registration Date and Account ID

Display & Localisation
Language
Language
Choose the language used throughout the Strautomator interface. Eleven languages are supported:
The language setting affects the UI only — dynamic tag output in activity descriptions follows the locale of your Strava account.
Temperature Unit
Temperature Unit
Select Celsius or Fahrenheit for weather-based dynamic tags (e.g.,
${weather.temperature}) and display throughout the app.Wind Speed Unit
Wind Speed Unit
Select the unit used when weather tags include wind speed:
- m/s — metres per second
- km/h — kilometres per hour
- mph — miles per hour
Processing Behaviour
Delayed Processing
Delayed Processing
When enabled, Strautomator waits a few minutes after a new activity syncs from Strava before running your automations. This is useful if you typically edit an activity’s title, description, or sport type in the Strava app immediately after saving — the delay ensures your manual edits are preserved before automations run.
Yearly Counter Reset
Yearly Counter Reset
If any of your automations use a counter condition, you can choose a date each year on which all counters reset automatically. Set the day and month (for example, 1 January or 1 September for a sports season) and Strautomator handles the reset without any manual intervention.
Omit Tag Suffixes
Omit Tag Suffixes
By default, dynamic tags include unit suffixes in their output — for example,
42.2 km or 158 bpm. Enable this option to strip the unit suffix and output the raw number only (e.g., 42.2 or 158). Useful when you are building custom formatting inside the tag string itself.Privacy & Security
Privacy Mode
Privacy Mode
Privacy mode applies three protections simultaneously:
- Anonymised sharing — your real name is replaced with a placeholder in any automation you share publicly via the Strautomator recipe library.
- Personal records disabled — Strautomator stops tracking and displaying personal records for your activities.
- GPS metadata discarded — location metadata is stripped from activity data before it is stored or processed, reducing the amount of geographic information Strautomator holds.
GearWear
Gear Tracking Delay
Gear Tracking Delay
Choose how long Strautomator waits before adding a new activity’s distance to your GearWear component totals. Options are 1 day, 2 days, or 3 days. A delay is helpful if you frequently edit gear assignments in Strava after recording an activity — Strautomator will use the finalised assignment rather than the one present at sync time.
PRO-Only Settings
The following settings are available exclusively on the PRO plan.
FTP Auto-Update (PRO)
FTP Auto-Update (PRO)
When enabled, Strautomator periodically analyses your recent power-meter rides and automatically updates your Functional Threshold Power (FTP) value in Strava. You receive an in-app notification each time an update is made. Disable this if you prefer to set your FTP manually.
Weather Provider (PRO)
Weather Provider (PRO)
Choose which weather data source Strautomator uses when resolving weather-based dynamic tags and conditions. Available providers:
If you choose a provider that requires an API key, enter your key in the field that appears after selecting the provider.
Battery Alerts (PRO)
Battery Alerts (PRO)
Strautomator can monitor the battery level reported by your sensors (heart rate monitors, power meters, GPS devices). Enable this setting and choose your alert thresholds:
- Low — an in-app notification when a sensor battery drops to a low level.
- Critical — an urgent in-app notification when a sensor battery is critically low.
AI Insights (PRO)
AI Insights (PRO)
Opt in to allow Strautomator to use your activity data to generate AI-powered insights and suggestions. When enabled, relevant activity details are sent to the AI provider you select. Disable this if you prefer your data not to leave Strautomator’s infrastructure.
AI Provider (PRO)
AI Provider (PRO)
When AI features are enabled, choose which large-language-model provider powers them:
Backlink Frequency (PRO)
Backlink Frequency (PRO)
Strautomator can append a short backlink to activity descriptions it edits. Control how often this happens:
Reducing the frequency keeps descriptions clean while still crediting Strautomator occasionally.
Hashtag Preference
Hashtag Preference
Choose how the Strautomator backlink is formatted when it is added to an activity description:
- #hashtag — appends
#strautomatoras a searchable hashtag. - URL — appends a clickable
